Virus notres: March 21, 2020

UC Merced announced this week that two students  showed COVID-19 symptoms and are in self-quarantine while awaiting test results.

If the tests come back positive for the virus, will Merced County Health Officer Dr. Kenneth Bird have the authority to quarantine other students, faculty and staff at UC Merced who had contact with the sick students during the spring break (March 23-March 28) if these people decide to leave the campus?
