Say it ain't so, Magnum

Entertainment Weekly reported on July 6 that the Calleguas Water District has sued Tom Selleck and his wife for stealing truckloads of water from hydrants to irrigate their 60-acre avacado orchard.
According to court documents, the actor or his workers began to steal water from hydrants in 2013 and resumed in March 2015. Calleguas is asking for $21,000 for damages, court fees and costs, and a "preliminary or permanent injunction" against Selleck and his workers from stealing more municipal water. The Selleck estate is located in Westlake Village, near Thousand Oaks, on the Los Angeles-Ventura county line.
Calleguas is a water wholesaler supplying 18 retail municipal districts in northwestern Southern California, from Simi Valley to Oxnard.
In recent years Selleck has achieved his Hollywood rightwing apotheosis as the star of the TV series "Blue Bloods" as New York Police Commissioner Francis "Frank": Reagan. -- blj
